Description
Designed in 1910, it is the place where you could once find the “treccole”, typical food stalls. It was rebuilt following the bombing of the Second World War. Today, in addition to the fruit and vegetable stalls, there are shops selling meat, fish, cheese and dairy products, bread etc., as well as cafés where you can eat at the tables set up inside the covered market: pizza, tigelle and cold cuts, but also fish and traditional Bolognese dishes.
The main entrance is in via Ugo Bassi, but the accessible one is in via San Gervasio. To climb the steps, you must use the freight elevator used by the greengrocers. If you do not know how to start the elevator, ask some vendor in the market who will help you.
