Via D’Azeglio
Description
One of the most important streets of the historic centre, it is partly pedestrian and connects Piazza Maggiore to Porta San Mamolo; many ancient buildings, such as Palazzo Bevilacqua, overlook this street. It is also one of the main shopping streets and it is not unusual to find buskers who perform until the evening. It is also known because the Bolognese singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla lived there for many years; his home, seat of the Foundation dedicated to him, can be visited upon reservation. The musician is much loved by his city, which celebrates him every year with dedicated events.
Recently, for example, the Christmas lights installed in the street had the lyrics of the famous song L’anno che verrà (The year to come) (but a different artist is chosen every year).
