Description
In this area, acquired by the Municipality of Bologna in 1969, a large park with peculiar characteristics was created in 1996: in the central part – the main botanical garden – the lawn areas alternate with tree-lined spots with more than one hundred different species of deciduous trees and shrubs. There is a playground.
Some sections of the Arboretum are more complicated and the accompanying person will have to put in a little more sprint and strength: the streets are narrow, there are slight slopes and the grass is not always accurately cut. However, a break on the bench under a tree will make you recover from fatigue.
