Description
Among the most modern and important national galleries, the Pinacoteca di Bologna is located in the same historic building of the Academy of Fine Arts. In its premises there are famous paintings by the most prestigious artists in the history of medieval and modern art: Parmigianino, for example, with his enchanting Madonna with Child and Saints Margaret, Jerome and Petronius (1529); Raphael with his marvellous Ecstasy of Saint Cecilia; Perugino with the Madonna in glory with Saints; and more works by Vasari, the Carracci and much more. It also hosts temporary exhibitions.
The halls of the Pinacoteca Nazionale are accessible to visitors with motor disabilities, thanks to an internal elevator and special inclined ramps in the rooms with steps. The reception and security assistants are available to give you all the needed information.
